Pablo Escobar was not a very nice man. In fact, he was a very nasty one indeed, as the new trailer for Season 2 of Netflix's Narcos reminds us. The Colombian drug baron was very much of the by-any-means-necessary school of entrepreneurship, as all the shooting, exploding and general intimidation on display amply remind us.

Season 2 picks up with Escobar (Wagner Moura) having done the crime (ie supplying most of the Western world with cocaine) and now doing the time. Only, his luxury prison can’t hold him for long and soon he’s escaped, prompted a manhunt that brings into the picture US special forces. Pretty much all of them.

It’s all based, of course, on the man’s real life. This episode took place in 1992 and signals the final few chapters in Escobar’s life. Expect the second season to have plenty of juicy twists left in the tank as he careers towards his Tony Montana moment.

All ten episodes of Narcos Season 2 will be available for bingeing on September 2.
