Mission: Impossible: London: Premiere

The fuse was lit in London last night when Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol premiered at the BFI IMAX on the Southbank. The stars of the film - Tom Cruise, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg - and director Brad Bird were joined by the great and the good to see the film on the biggest screen around.

As you'll know by now, the film sees Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his Impossible Mission Force - including Pegg's Benji and Patton's Jane Carter - disavowed by the US government after they are framed for a bombing at the Kremlin. A race begins to clear their names and stop the dangerous people who were really responsible. That will involve, as the trailer showed, hanging off the world's tallest building and causing everyone in the audience to experience sympathetic vertigo.

**Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol **is out on IMAX on December 21 and countrywide on December 26.
