The cameras are about to roll on the film version of TV series Fantasy Island (no, not Temptation Island... a film of that would be too horrific to contemplate). And just as production kicks off, a new batch of actors has been added, with Michael Rooker, Charlotte McKinney, Austin Stowell and Parisa Fitz-Henley scoring roles.

Fantasy Island ran between 1977 and 1984, starring Ricardo Montalban as Mr. Roarke, who lived on the titular island and helped visitors live out their fantasies (clue's in the title) with the assistance of Tattoo (Herve Villechaize). The film is from Truth Or Dare director Jeff Wadlow, who is cooking up a darker take for the Blumhouse team. Michael Peña is on as Mr. Roarke, while Lucy Hale, Maggie Q, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang and Ryan Hansen are all playing various characters, some of whom will discover that their wildest dreams can also be their worst nightmares.

We don't yet know what Rooker and co. will be doing in the film, or what the exact story is beyond that basic premise of visitors being careful what they wish for. The film, co-written by Wadlow, Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs, will be out in February next year.
