“The most dangerous people on the planet,” is how Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller terms them in the movie’s new TV spot. While Suicide Squad’s new PG-13 rating means that they’ll be keeping that danger within acceptable levels of violence and sweariness, Warner Bros.’ new super-villain caper still promises some mind-bending mayhem. Click below to watch the latest batch of footage.

The film’s set-up has the not-especially-friendly-herself Waller putting together a task force formed from the most dangerous – and deranged – villains for suicidally dangerous missions. A Dirty Dozen with a few extra screws loose.

The crew comprises Deadshot (Will Smith), Jared Leto’s Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flagg, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc and more as some of the biggest bads to emerge from the DC Comics universe. They may not be the most willing heroes, but they could just end up saving the day... assuming they survive.

Suicide Squad storm UK cinemas on August 5. Read our exhaustive Suicide Squad guide here.
