Latest Trailer For Rush Revs Up

As we draw ever closer to the release of Ron Howard’s new drama Rush, you can almost hear the growling rumble of the Formula One cars idling on the starting grid. But if you’d rather watch some actual footage of the film, check out the new trailer instead.

Rush chronicles the passionate, often bitter and occasionally glamorous rivalry between English driver James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth, swapping putting the hammer down for putting the pedal to the metal) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) as they jostle for pole position in the pantheon of Formula One in the 1970s.

This latest promo plays up several sides of the story (boosted by a script from Peter Morgan) with Hunt shown as a charismatic playboy with an urge to win and Lauda and more than adequate rival. But it’s not all swooning nurses and press conferences – tragedy lurks around the next corner...

Howard really seems to have pulled out all the stops for this one, and the visuals look great too. With Olivia Wilde and Natalie Dormer also among the cast, Rush is out on September 13.
