Justice League Movie Definitely On

This isn't really strictly news, since it's already the worst kept secret on the internet, but Warner Bros is definitely moving ahead with a Justice League movie. Now, once you're back on the chair you just fell off, we'll continue.

The fact that Variety has reported it seems to make this absolutely true, since the trade paper very rarely reports on anything it doesn't 100% know is happening. Variety today reported that the superheroes-form-a-supergroup movie is a pre-strike priority for Warner Bros; George Miller (Happy Feet) is directing; and it will be the studio's big movie for summer 2009, which is currently looking a bit barren for WB.

There are no confirmed characters – although Variety really sticks its neck out there by saying Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and The Green Lantern may all appear – but Warner are said to like the script by Kieran and Michele Mulroney.

So, think of this as a confirmation of rumour, rather than new surprising actual proper news.
