Justice League Delayed

At least until after the strike

Justice League Delayed

Wow, is Justice League the most troubled superhero movie ever? Having been talked about for ages, yet never actually announced by Warner Bros, the super-team up has apparently now gone on the backburner. Both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are saying that Warner decided not to proceed with the film yesterday, believing that another re-write on the script is necessary.

This reportedly means that the film has lost the option on a cast that included Adam Brody (The Flash), Anton Yelchin (possibly the first Flash), Common (The Green Lantern), D.J. Cotrona (Superman), Megan Gale (Wonder Woman) and Teresa Palmer (Talia Al Ghul). The cast was said to be on location and ready to shoot if the greenlight was given. It's not known if the delay means the production will lose director George Miller.

With the writers strike continuing, the rewrite will have to wait for an indeterminate time, so this could be on hold until the end of the year. But not proceeding until the script is right can only be a good thing. If our user comments are anything to go by, fans are wary of this film to say the least and they wouldn't be quick to embrace a version that wasn't the best it could be.
