Art vs. commerce is a theme that has been tackled by movies a lot in the past, but Nightcrawler writer/director Dan Gilroy is adding an extra layer of horror for his latest, Velvet Buzzsaw. Check out the trailer for the new film...

Buzzsaw sees Gilroy reuniting with Nightcrawler stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo for another tale of creativity leading to terror and danger. It's set set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles, where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price... In this case, literally paying with their lives.

Gyllenhaal plays snobby art critic Morf Vandewalt, who discovers a new talent, only for the odd things to start happening around him. Does the artist have a connection to dark powers, or is it all in Morf's head?

Gilroy rounded up the likes of John Malkovich, Toni Collette, Daveed Diggs and Tom Sturridge for the film, which will premiere later this month at the Sundance Film Festival before arriving on limited theatrical release and on Netflix on 1 February.
