Hugh Jackman, who is currently filming the further hairy adventures of Wolverine, has just signed taken an interest in another comic book , one that involves no growing of white trash facial hair or people shoving kitchen knives into his knuckles (those things are real, you know).

But Nowhere Man isn't necessarily going to be a film – Jackman is just currently helping produce it. Jackman is working with Marc Guggenheim to create the series for Virgin which, according to Variety's story, features a "protagonist reminiscent of the one Will Smith played in I Am Legend" in a future world where privacy has been traded for safety. There are plans to possibly then turn the comic book into a movie.

Well this is all very meta. Actors now writing the comics? We think this story sounds pretty cool, but does playing a comic book character make you qualified to write one? We once played Herod in the school play, but this did not give us the power to command the slaying of all the country's first born sons. When we tried it, the police really had a few things to say about it. Apparently it was "anti-social" and "really creepy, you weirdo". Well, excuse us for committing to a role.
