If you’ve been sitting at home wondering what exactly Paul Giamatti’s been up to of late (apart from appearing in the title role of HBO miniseries John Adams) then you need scratch your head no longer. The multi-talented character actor has been hammering out the final details to appear in Tony Gilroy’s Duplicity.

Reuniting with Clive Owen (who killed him rather definitively in the face in last year’s Shoot Em Up), Giamatti will play the industrialist rival to Tom Wilkinson’s company man, engaged in a major game of one-upmanship. Duplicity revolves around the dog-eat-dog world of corporate espionage with Owen and Julia Roberts as an opposing pair of corporate spies who hook up (in every sense) to pull off a major con at the expense of their respective employers.
