If you thought that, by agreeing to co-star in a thriller called The Courier, Gary Oldman would be strapping on a bicycle helmet and slipping into tight, scratchy lycra, think again. He's actually playing the antagonist opposite Olga Kurylenko.

Zackery Adler will direct this one, working from a script Andy Conway and Nicky Tate. Kurylenko is a courier whose daily deliveries are interrupted when she discovers that her latest package is a bomb, one aimed at killing a witness who is about to testify against a ruthless crime lord... Well, now you know who Oldman is playing.

The rest of the cast is still being gathered, and the aim is to have both the wheels and the cameras rolling next month in London. Oldman, who won an Oscar last year for Darkest Hour, will be seen in Steven Soderbergh's The Laundromat and new Joe Wright mystery drama The Woman In The Window.
