Full Grace Of Monaco Trailer

'Everything you say has consequences...'

We got a quick taste of Olivier Dahan’s Grace Of Monaco back in September last year. Now, despite missing its original November release date thanks to some behind-the-scenes back-and-forth between Dahan and producer Harvey Weinstein, it has a June date in its sights and a brand new full trailer.

Set in 1962, six years after her celebrated Wedding of the Century, the film is a snapshot of a year in the life of the 20th century's most iconic princess, Grace Kelly (Nicole Kidman), as she struggled to reconcile her past and her present, a yearning for a return to the big screen with her newfound role as a mother of two, monarch of a European principality and wife to Prince Ranier III (Tim Roth).

While contemplating overtures from Alfred Hitchcock to return to her career in Hollywood, Grace found herself plunged into a personal crisis when Rainier's modernization of an ailing Monaco was halted by French premier Charles de Gaulle and his attempts not only to impose French taxation on Monaco, but reclaim the principality for France by force.

The full-blown international crisis and impending French invasion that loomed would pose a crisis not just for her family, her marriage and her country, but in Grace's private life. It remains to be seen how the finished version of the film plays with critics and, even more importantly, audiences. We’ll find out when Grace Of Monaco hits screens on June 6.
