Despite their importance in war in the 20th century, there have been fewer films about tanks than you might expect - because how do you make a small group of men in a tin seem exciting? Well, David Ayer may have figured it out with Fury, as you can see in the first trailer below. The key, if this is representative, seems to be not claustrophobia but some seriously stacked odds.

Brad Pitt's Sergeant 'Wardaddy' Collier is the tank commander on a mission behind enemy lines. He has kept his crew alive through the War, but in the final push into Germany things are about to get tougher. Logan Lerman's the new guy just assigned to the crew, and it looks from this like he is going to have to overcome an entirely natural reluctance to blow people away as the tank trundles on.

Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal and Shia LaBeouf round out the crew, with Jason Isaacs, Scott Eastwood and Xavier Samuel also among the cast. Following a few recent reshoots to tweak the edit, Fury should hit UK cinemas on October 24, ahead of a US debut on November 14.
