Spotters' badge to Coming Soon for picking up on some interesting additions to the OmniCorp website Sony has set up to promote its **Robocop **reboot. Additions to the armoury of OmniCorp (ominous slogan: "We've got the future under control") include some scary-looking droids and other miscellaneous tech.

The first glimpse of the new Robocop suit set Empire's forum ablaze](http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=35212) - and not in an entirely good way - so we'll be following your feedback on this little lot closely. The XT-908 aerial drone indicates a state that's repressing its people from sky as well as ground, while the new-look ED-209 is, refreshingly, pretty similar to the version created by Phil Tippett and Randy Dutra, even down to its 'battle'-worn detailing.

Director José Padilha's slant on the cyber-copper gives Joel Kinnaman the title role, and that of his pre-injury, fully human version, Alex Murphy. Gary Oldman plays a scientist who helps convert Kinnaman’s cop into the cyborg officer, while Samuel L. Jackson is Pat Novak, a “charismatic TV mogul", presumably with a touch of the Bill O'Reillys about him.

**Robocop **is out in the UK on August 9, 2014. Look out for the ED-209 inspired rave kinda-anthem '20 Seconds To Comply', meanwhile, on the soundtrack of The World's End this week.
