The Weinstein Company is producing the not-so-true-life story of fake American author JT Leroy.
Leroy - an alleged HIV-positive male prostitute turned writing sensation – was revealed last month as the creation of scribe and musician Laura Albert.
The untitled film (a lie-o-pic?) will be based on three New York Times articles written by Warren St John, who was initially taken in about Leroy, but then helped to reveal the scam.
