You've seen the cover of the new JJ Abrams-themed Empire magazine. You've read a few snippets from our JJ Abrams interview about **Superman Flyby and about his plans for **Star Wars: Episode VII. Now it's time to feast your eyes on two new stills from Star Trek Into Darkness, showing Kirk, Spock and Uhura (Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana respectively) in a bit of difficulty, and Uhura laying the smackdown.

Now a glance at these stills won't spoil anything for you, but if you've been avoiding *all *spoilers like the plague, you might not want to examine them too closely. In particular, you shouldn't look too closely at what's lying on the ground behind Spock, Kirk and Uhura - yeah, that bit to the right. You also shouldn't pay too much attention to what Uhura's holding in the other image, just in case it leads you to any conclusions.

There's much, much more about the film in the May issue of Empire, of course, which also includes everything from a reunion of John Carpenter and Kurt Russell to a first-look at Tom Hanks in Paul Greengrass' Hijacked. That hits newsstands next Thursday, March 28, just in time for your Easter break.
