The trailer for new Spanish chiller Julia's Eyes has been floating about for a while online and it looks mighty tasty - shimmering with the kind of creepiness that hallmarked Guillermo del Toro's last Spanish production, The Orphanage - and our appetites have only been whetted further by a new clip.

The scene shows Julia (The Orphanage's Belén Rueda) grappling with the mysterious death of her twin sister Sara (also Belén Rueda), when all kinds of sinister carry-ons start to take place. Sara's death looked like suicide but Julia believes darker forces at a play, and it seems like she might be right. Well, that light didn't turn itself off.

Like her sister, Julia suffers from a congenital condition that affects her eyesight. It's degenerative and strikes at any moment, which will no doubt complicate her investigations and crank up the spooks.

Julia's Eyes in cinemas on May 20.
