Eva Green as a woman who can lead men to fight or die for her? Yeah, we can see that. So can** Sin City: A Dame To Kill** For co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, who have locked Green in to play femme fatale Ava Lord.

It’s been quite a search for the directors, who originally reached out to Angelina Jolie but didn’t manage to make a deal. Now, though, they seem happy with the choice of Green to play Ava, a beautiful woman who leads photographer Dwight (Josh Brolin) to end up framed for the murder of her wealthy husband. And to add insult to possible lethal injury, she left Dwight for the moneybags man in the first place…

“Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City,” Rodriguez and Miller said in a statement picked up by The Hollywood Reporter. “From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green."

Green is not the only new arrival in the cast, as they've also announced rising actress Julia Garner, who has impressed in small roles in** The Perks Of Being A Wallflower**, Not Fade Away and Electrick Children, to play a stripper who enters the life of gambler Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).

Sin City’s sequel is shooting now, featuring a hefty ensemble that includes Mickey Rourke, Jessica, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta and Juno Temple. It’ll be out in the States on October 4, but there’s no sign yet as to whether it’ll be day and date over here, or if we’re in for a wait.
