The rumours were true: Empire Live is happening. We’re transcending our humble origins as the world’s biggest-selling movie magazine and moving out into the real world, for one weekend of pure undiluted cinematic entertainment.
And where better to host the world’s biggest movie magazine than the world’s number one music and entertainment venue? The O2 in London – home of the largest capacity cinema screen in the UK – will play host to more than 50 fantastically filmy events, across September 23/24/25.
The weekend of events will include film premieres, first-look screenings, specially curated bills, masterclasses and pop-up parties. There’ll be celebrity guests, actors and filmmakers, workshops, talks, and really quite a lot more beyond that.
We have loads of very exciting events yet to confirm, but the first batch of content confirmed includes a very special presentation of the new Richard Linklater comedy Everybody Wants Some!!; a series of screenings partnered with the prestigious Criterion Collection; and a live recording of the award-winning Empire Podcast.
