This month's **Empire **is full of movie goodness. In it, Daniel Radcliffe admits to having walked out of Daredevil, Oliver Stone marks the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination with a typically blunt look back at JFK, and a small (in every sense) band of brothers continues its epic quest across Middle-earth in the direction of a certain scaly nemesis in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.

To mark an exclusive look at Peter Jackson's new film that would have Radagast the Brown rabbit-sledging straight down to his local newsagent, we have created four limited-edition **Hobbit **covers to choose from. Click below for a closer look.

Your choices are Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) in Mirkwood, Gandalf the Grey in the dark domain of Dol Guldur and Bilbo, of course, clutching Sting as he treads through Smaug's lair in Erebor. Last but not least is Luke Evans' Bard the Bowman, a debutant in the second part of Peter Jackson's trilogy, seen here defending Lake-Town from fiery menace.

The month's special subscribers' cover unites the four into one formidable quartet - quintet, if you include the eagle - against a backdrop of the Lonely Mountain.{Empire's The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug Subscribers Cover}

Empire's December issue will be on newstands both physical and digital from Thursday, while **The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug **arrives in the UK on December 13. Mark your diaries!
