Emily VanCamp, last seen playing Emily in The Ring Two, has joined the cast of Spanish writer-director sibling team the Pastor Brothers’ untitled epidemic drama.
The plot sees four friends desperately trying to escape a virus that has been unleashed in America’s West. But once they get on the road, they discover that they’re more of a danger to each other than any pesky microbes. VanCamp will play Kate, a repressed, by-the-book woman whose family falls victim to the disease.
She’s starring alongside the previously announced cast of Thumbsucker’s Lou Taylor Pucci, Chris Pine (Just My Luck) and Coyote Ugly’s Piper Perabo. Alex and David Pastor are currently co-directing the film.
