With the cameras set to begin shooting next month, the cast for Hank Williams biopic **I Saw The Light is starting to come together around lynchpin Tom Hiddleston, who will play the country star himself. Elizabeth Olsen is now aboard to play his wife, Audrey Mae.

Marc Abraham will direct the script he wrote, which adapts Colin Escott, George Merritt and William MacEwen’s biography of the man who scored hits with songs such as ‘Your Cheatin’ Heart’, ‘I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry’ and ‘Lovesick Blues’. Williams, who struggled with spina bifida and died in 1953, is still considered one of the most influential country music artists ever. He rose quickly, burned brightly and passed away at the age of 29 from heart failure brought on by pills and alcohol.

Brett Ratner is acting as executive producer for this one, which will shoot in and around Louisiana. Thanks to Olsen’s casting, it now marks a meeting of those who have caused problems for the Avengers, since the actress is playing Scarlet Witch in Joss Whedon’s Marvel sequel Age Of Ultron, due April 24 next year. She’s also being considered for a role in Guy Ritchie’s new King Arthur film.
