There has been a shift in the casting of the ever-expanding Taylor Lautner thriller Abduction: Elisabeth Röhm has signed on to the film to replace Emily Mortimer as Lautner’s biological mother.

Abduction finds the shirt-intolerant Twilight star aiming to score a blockbuster that doesn’t feature sparkly vampires, playing a young man who discovers his baby picture on a missing persons website. Realising with creeping dread that the people he thought were his parents have been lying to him, he goes on the run to discover the truth.

Director John Singleton has been building quite the ensemble around Lautner – Lily Collins, Maria Bello, Jason Isaacs and Alfred Molina are all aboard for the movie, which kicks off shooting next week.

Röhm, meanwhile, has usually been found on TV, with a recurring role in Law & Order, and runs in the likes of Angel and Heroes. But she’s also cropped up in a few movies, with Miss Congeniality 2 among her more notable credits.
