Dylan Dog Trailer Online

Since he’s no longer the current cinematic incarnation of Superman, it seems only fair that Brandon Routh gets his shot at a different comic-book hero, albeit one that doesn’t hail from the usual Marvel or DC territories. Now we get to see him in action as the trailer for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night has arrived online over at Apple.

Based on Tiziano Sclavi’s cult title (though given that it boasts sales of around 60 million copies worldwide, we’re not sure it’s as low-key as you might think)** Dylan Dog** follows the titular private eye, a man known across the globe as the human picked to investigate the affairs of the undead.

With his sardonic style and arsenal of wood- and silver-tipped weapons, Dylan deals with the problems and disputes of werewolves, vampires and zombies around his stomping ground of New Orleans (transplanted from the character’s original London setting).

The film, crafted by TMNT writer/director Kevin Munroe, has been sitting around for a while waiting for a distribution slot. But from the looks of this, it appears to be a whole lot of fun, with Routh in good form and Sam Huntington bringing some undead laughs as his sidekick.

Check out the trailer and see what you think. The film is out in the US on April 29, but doesn’t yet have a date to arrive over here.
