Daniel Roby has signed on to direct the horror movie, Piecemeal, for Zone Film.

Written by Jeff Welch, the movie revolves around a teenager who suffers from recurring nightmares in which he lives the life of a brutally abused young man. Then, in the real world, he struggles to keep his rage in check.

Intriguing… the world of dreams is always a fertile area for filmmakers to tap, and this one sounds like it should fall firmly into the psychological horror category.

Roby, who will also produce, made a splash with his vampire flick, White Skin at the Toronto Film Festival, and will direct Piecemeal after he wraps the 70s-set Funkytown. That starts shooting in March.
