With so many versions of Cinderella out there on all sorts of media, it takes something to break through. Sony's take on the tale was sold off to Amazon after pandemic release concerns, but it's still on its way to screens next month, and the new trailer is online, featuring Camila Cabello.

Featuring pop tunes from a variety of artists and original songs from Cabello and Idina Menzel (as Cinders' Stepmother), the story is musically driven approach to the story. Our heroine (Cabello) is an ambitious young woman, whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fabulous Godmother (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true. Oh, and even when she meets Nicholas Galitzine's Prince Robert, she's not content to simply stagnate in a royal world.

Pitch Perfect's Kay Cannon is on writing and directing duties here, with Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver, James Corden and Romesh Ranganathan also in the cast. The new Cinderella will be on our TV screens via Amazon Prime Video from 3 September.
