The leaves are falling, the weather is getting colder, and here is the trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier to put the final nail in summer's coffin. Yes, the Avengers leader is back and this time he's caught in between his conscience and his duty as S.H.I.E.L.D. and big cheese Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) try to find a role for their super-soldier.

brightcove.createExperiences();Turning down dates set up by Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow and jumping out of planes without a parachute, Chris Evans' Steve Rogers is still living dangerously. But that will be all to the good as the story gets darker, with Rogers soon doubting SHIELD's leadership and facing new threats from the titular Winter Soldier, who in a heartbreaking twist is the cyborg-ified bad guy made from his supposedly dead friend Bucky (Sebastian Stan). Luckily he has Anthony Mackie's Falcon, who looks to be on his side.

With quite a lot of car crashes, explosions and a helicarrier crash to really put things in perspective, this looks to deliver on the action quotient but also delivers the '70s-style paranoia thriller we've been promised.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits UK cinemas on March 26. Anthony and Joe Russo directed the film, which also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Emily VanCamp, Cobie Smulders and Frank Grillo.
