Michael Fassbender, you absolute cheat. Here we were, thinking that all your powers in X-Men: First Class were the result of pure mind control and astonishing acting, and now Bryan Singer has revealed you as a rank liar needing a platform to levitate while shooting Days Of Future Past. We may never trust you again. Next you’ll be telling us the runway in Fast & Furious 6isn’t real either.

Fass-bitterness aside, we’re happy to be back on Singer’s one-man photo PR parade for** Future Past**, this time with the director tweeting an image of Erik Lehnsherr levitating via the assistance of the effects crew with the tongue-in-cheek caption, “The dark knight rises.”

It’s just the latest dispatch from the Robert Capa of the mutant movie world. Singer is clearly aiming for some sort of record for the director tweeting the most pictures while also shooting a film. Joss Whedon, the gauntlet lies at the toes of your stylish yet affordable boots.

Days Of Future Past finds the X-Men in two time periods fighting to stop a dark alternate future. In addition to the Fass-man, the cast includes James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Fan Bingbing, Anna Paquin and Daniel Cudmore. The film itself will be out on July 17 next year.
