But while he’s largely penned comedy in the past, Ferguson has switched tracks into thriller territory for Last Man Out, which has Pierce Brosnan attached to star.
Adapted by Ferguson and Ted Mulkerin from Stuart Neville’s revenge-thriller tome The Twelve, Last Man Out follows a former IRA hit man who is released from prison after 20 years.
Haunted by his crime and the memory of the people he killed, he decides he can find no peace until he brings down vengeance on the people who ordered those murders on behalf of the victims. What is it with assassins growing consciences these days?
