As readers of the latest issue of **Empire will already know, The Bourne Legacy is something of a sidequel - if you're comfortable using that term - that runs both alongside and after The Bourne Ultimatum. Now a new 'Look Inside' clip up on Apple explores the concept further.

Featuring talking-head interview snippets from stars Jeremy Renner (the super spy), Rachel Weisz (the rather attractive lady scientist) and Edward Norton (the bad guy), this two-and-a-bit minute featurette has the movie's biggest names explain it all themselves, bolstered by behind-the-scenes footage of some of the film's hairiest stunts.

Writer/director Tony Gilroy - the man who co-wrote all three Bourne movies and has subsequently directed Michael Clayton and** Duplicity** - shares a few words, explaining that he "wanted to create a larger conspiracy - the Treadstone program that you saw was only one program...".

The key difference between the two programs is also revealed in this clip, as Dr. Stephanie Snyder (Weisz) mentions Aaron Cross's (Renner) particular set of skills: genetic enhancement. Oo, and, indeed, err.

The Bourne Legacy is in cinemas in the UK on August 13, and for more details, pick up the latest issue of Empire, which is on shelves until Thursday - so you'll have to be quick...
