If you’ve just seen the Terminator: Dark Fate trailer – and you can do just that here – you’re probably revelling in the long-awaited return of Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor in a James Cameron-produced direct sequel to Judgment Day. And of course the franchise’s original icon Arnold Schwarzenegger is back too – though he only gets a brief appearance in the first trailer. If that shot of him looking fairly sedate and hiding out in the woods left you wondering if he might not be in the thick of the action this time, an exclusive new image is here to disabuse you of that notion.
If you ordered some fabric from Carl’s Draperies, we have some bad news for you: it’s probably not arriving any time soon. Yes, this Terminator is tooled up and opening fire – at what or whom, we’ll have to wait and see. Considering the original T-800 101 was crushed at the end of The Terminator, and the good-guy unit was melted in molten steel at the end of Terminator 2, it remains to be seen why this T-800 is here. Is he friend to Sarah Connor, or foe? Fighting to save humanity, or to ensure Judgment Day eventually arrives? The answers will come later this year when Dark Fate hits the big screen.
