New Kung Fu Panda Character Pics
Meet Lord Shen and more
DreamWorks Animation is opening up the world of Kung Fu Panda with the sequel, and now that the film is just a couple of months away, the studio is keen to start introducing some of the new faces that we’ll meet in the adventure.
Which might explain why the film’s official Facebook page is now weighed down with new character imagery, with the focus very much on the villains of the piece.
You can take a look at all the new images in our gallery below, which include the Big Bad, peacock Lord Shen, voiced by Gary Oldman. He’s a cunning, smart, ambitious type who has mastered gunpowder and plans to use it to wipe out Kung Fu and conquer China.
Next up is the Wolf Boss, who used to lead the pack that guarded the royal palace of Gongmen City. Now, though, he’s Lord Shen’s trusted right hand... erm... paw, man. Wolf. Whatever.
Then we have the brute force of Shen’s army, the Gorillas, a powerful group of apes who are honour bound to serve their master.
Finally, in a break from the baddies, there’s Soothsayer, a wise and friendly goat with some serious psychic power.
Kung Fu Panda 2, which also features voice veterans Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and David Cross, is out in the UK on 10 June.
