Amy Poehler Heads To Wine Country In The Trailer For Her Directorial Debut

Having directed a handful of TV episodes for shows including Parks And Recreation, Amy Poehler is getting into film shot-calling with Wine Country for Netflix. Check out the trailer below...

The story, written by Emily Spivey, Liz Cackowski (based on an idea by the pair and Poehler) Emily Spivey, Liz Cackowski finds Abby (Poehler) plans a scenic Napa getaway with their best, longtime friends in honour of Rebecca (Rachel Dratch)'s 50th birthday. Workaholic Catherine (Ana Gasteyer), post-op Val (Paula Pell), homebody Jenny (Emily Spivey), and weary mom Naomi (Maya Rudolph) are equally sold on the chance to relax and reconnect.

Yet as the alcohol flows, real world uncertainties intrude on the punchlines and gossip, and the women begin questioning their friendships and futures...

In addition to the people listed above, Poehler has also assembled the likes of Tina Fey, Jason Schwartzman and Cherry Jones. Wine Country will arrive on Netflix on 10 May, with limited cinematic screenings in the States kicking off on 8 May. Cheers!
