That's important to know because Empire can exclusively reveal that ∆ are going to score the upcoming Toby Jones movie** **Leave To Remain.
Listeners to the Empire Podcast will already know a bit about Leave To Remain, after Mr. Jones popped into thepodcast studiorecently and discussed his excitement about the coming of age asylum seeker drama.
Directed by Bruce Goodison, the BAFTA-winning documentarian behind 10 Days To War, Leave To Remain is the result of several years of workshopping with real-life young asylum seekers. Toby Jones will play an asylum officer, with three unknowns as the three young asylum seekers that he works with.
A boost to the film's publicity comes in the form of the aforementioned Alt-J scoring the project with entirely new music. The band's regular appearances on BBC 6 Music's playlist are proof positive that they are oh-so-very-cool right now, and, perhaps more importantly, they won the 2012 British Mercury Prize for their astonishingly good debut album An Awesome Wave. There's no concrete release date for Leave To Remain at the moment, but it's currently in post-production, aiming for a spring 2013 completion.
