Original Title:

Midwest Obsession

A cute blonde turns psycho in the true story of one woman’s deadly attraction for a handsome cowhand. Wide-eyed Courtney Thorne-Smith (Melrose Place), plays beauty queen Cheryl in this easy-to-watch thriller that offers few twists yet pulls no punches. The vaguely fly-on-the-wall feel gives it an edge that the script lacks. A steady paced effort with a light dusting of spooky moments but no big surprises.

Lackluster thriller.
