Beautiful Anjali Sharma (Sanjana) and Sanjay Malhotra (Uday Chopra) have been close childhood friends. Anjali falls in love with Sanjay, but Sanjay is tongue-tied,shy and does not display his love for her, and as a result Anjali gives up on him, thinking that he does not love her. She meets up with handsome and debonair Rohit (Jimmy Shergill), and both fall in love. Sanjay is heart-broken yet shows that he is excited, and goes out of the way to make arrangements for the marriage.

★★★★

Sanjana's first movie is a well-crafted exploration of human relationships. The tale is a hybrid of My Best Friendís Wedding and When Harry Met Sally, and thanks to an upbeat mood, a catchy soundtrack and a few surprises, the blend works.

Look out for Shamita Shetty's sexy foot-tapping number as she attempts to seduce Shergill in front of future bride Sanjana under the instruction of Chopra.

If only all debuts were this good - intense, astonishingly refreshing and drop dead gorgeous.
