Original Title:

Manufacturing Dissent: Uncovering Michael Moore

Attempting to bring balanced argument to the ongoing bickering between Michael Moore and his critics, this investigative effort probes the firebrand documentarian’s methodology.

Charges of manipulation dog the Bush-burner - hell, Moore himself has even admitted that “film is edited, it’s manipulated to present a point of view”. But he stands firm in the belief that “the facts in my films are 100 per cent true”.

There’s plenty to suggest there’s more to Moore’s one-man moral crusade than meets the eye, but Debbie Melnyk and Rick Caine’s film, even-handed though it may be, simply doesn’t probe deep enough.

This even-handed effort simply doesn't probe deep enough.
