One can guess the rest as they snatch a bit of happiness before he leaves her for the Korean War. Based on a true story, it's still trite, but, as these things go, wonderfully well done, with a faaabulous tearful ending.
Slushy but touching stuff and Jennifer Jones is full of charm.
