With a newly commissioned Nitin Sawhney score, Hitchcock’s adaptation of Marie Belloc Lowndes’ Jack The Ripper-inspired novel owes much to German Expressionism and the sense of mischief that would become Hitch’s trademark. Flawed, but fascinating.

Sawhney's score brings contemporary melodies to Hitch's silent delight.
