Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa Review

With Steve-O AWOL and Ryan Dunn having passed away, this latest Jackass marks a change in format: the pranks are framed by a road-trip plot. Cloaked under grandpa make-up, Johnny Knoxville’s randy pensioner gets lumbered with his deadpan grandson (Jackson Nicoll), due to be offloaded on his loathsome dad. As they drive across state, the duo punk the public in a series of antisocial sketches. For all its genital-chewing soda machines and diner-redecorating dynamite sphincters, the pranks are milder than usual but no less invigorating. Inevitably sketchy, but when it hits, it’s hilarious — and Knoxville’s fantastic.
