24 star Elisha Cuthbert makes her feature debut as the beautiful Danielle who moves in next door to class president and high school swot Matthew. She teaches teach him to live life to the full and seems to be the perfect girl - until he discovers that she is, in fact, a porn star.
With its lack of big name talent, trite title and a poster that will tempt only teeny-boppers, you'd be forgiven for not expecting to find any quality in this story of boy meets girl, girl turns out to be porn star.
However, as is discovered during the course of the movie, appearances can sometimes be deceptive. What seems to be another wishy-washy teen movie is actually a surprising little number that grabs the attention at the least expected moments.
Smart direction from Greenfield (The Animal) provide an abundance of unpredictable touches, while the well-written script supplies a remarkable quantity of no holds-barred sexual humour. Although the tale often stalls (most obviously during the transition from the second to third act), it has managed, admirably, to strike a balance between the wholesome "school nerd blossoms" fairy tale and the gross-out comedy that is now a teen movie standard.
