If you grew up in the 1980s, you’ll probably remember Franco Zeffirelli’s romance Endless Love, or at least, you’ll recall Brooke Shields stripping off in front of a roaring fire. This slightly more chaste new version sees rising star Gabriella Wilde take on the role of the poor little rich girl, Jade, who just wants to be loved. Wilde is sweet and stunning, Alex Pettyfer fine as her paramour David and the dad versus boyfriend story still has relevance. This is tween fodder with a fair few clichés to hand, but it should still make young girls of a new generation swoon. No Lionel Richie and Diana Ross on the soundtrack though, sadly.

Rich girl Jade Butterfield (Wilde) falls hard for David Elliot (Pettyfer), a boy from the other side of the tracks. But the union will take place over her parents' - dad Bruce Greenwood especially - dead bodies.
