Original Title:

Employee Of The Month

Jessica Simpson follows up her role in the The Dukes Of Hazzard as another piece of eye-candy for men to compete over; in this case a cashier and box boy at the warehouse store where her character Amy unfeasibly works. While showy Vince (Dax Shepard) looks set to nab his 18th Employee Of The Month award, lazy Zack (Dane Cook) decides to smarten up his act and win the title — and hence, he hopes, Amy’s affections.

The cast are capable enough, but while their competition affords some laughs, underwritten characters and self-indulgent editing make this workplace comedy more Waiting… than The 40 Year Old Virgin.

A likeable cast is underused in this cut-price guy comedy with only the occasional laugh.
