Original Title:

On The Edge

Trying to come to terms with his fatherís death, 19 year-old Jonathan Breech (Cillian Murphy) drives a stolen car over a cliff.

Given the choice between going to prison or becoming an in-patient at a psychiatric hospital, he chooses the latter, where he develops an intense relationship with a fellow patient (Tricia Vessey). On The Edge is an honest look at adolescence taken to the extreme. Although less shocking than Girl, Interrupted, it uses the same emotional intensity to make the viewer sympathise with the characters.

Serious stuff, but worth watching.
