If you've watched the first trailer for Pixar's late 2017 release Coco (and if you haven't, there's a handy link at the bottom of the page), you will have met Dante, the canine chum of main character Miguel (Antony Gonzalez), who is potentially another breakout dog star for the company along the lines of Up's Dug. He's getting a chance to shine before the movie is out thanks to a short caLled Dante's Lunch that you can watch below.

It's a fun little piece, in which the pooch finds what he thinks is a great new bone to gnaw on, only for it to unexpectedly come to life and drag the dog on a chaotic adventure through his village.

As for Coco, which is co-directed by Pixar veteran Lee Unkrich alongside Adrian Molina, it's the story of Miguel, who wants to be a music legend like his hero, Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). But there's a problem: music has been banned in Miguel's family for years, but no one will quite tell him why.

Yet when our hero (accompanied by Dante) accidentally finds a way into the Land of the Dead, he teams up with a trickster named Hector (Gael Garcia Bernal) and sets out to discover the truth...

Coco will be out in the US on 22 November and hits the UK on 8 December.
