Chrome Soldiers

This made-for-TV outlaw Vietnam vet biker movie has got to be one of the most ideologically confused melodramas ever made, with a bunch of patriots on motorcycles saving an embattled community from the threat of marijuana farming.

Apart from the idea of a bunch of leather-clad, hog-straddling heroes who say no to drugs and salute the flag at every opportunity, the movie is scuppered by its institutionalised blandness, with a potential powerhouse scumball cast (Gary Busey, Yaphet Kotto, William Atherton) turning in mild-mannered wimpo performances. Some A-Team-style inoffensive action, but very little excitement.
