Original Title:

Child’s Pose

Romania's nouveau riche are unfavourably compared to the Communist elite in this superbly played, if rather obvious, satire. The dialogue crackles, however, and Luminita Gheorghiu excels as the matriarch pulling strings after her feckless son’s car kills a child.

Another powerfully observed Romanian drama.
