Modern technology is a boon for struggling actors like Ryan O'Nan, who went from playing ‘Man In Shower’ in a 2011 episode of Skins to being writer, director and star of his own whimsical comedy. It’s the kind of self-indulgent indie which is generally spared theatrical distribution, and sees O’Nan play hapless singer-songwriter Alex on a whistle-stop tour of tiny music venues across America, lending the familiar band-movie tropes a promising road-movie structure — neither of which O'Nan exploits to comic or dramatic effect.
