Breakfast With Jonny Wilkinson

Trouble's brewing at Greyhawks Rugby Club. As members mob to watch the 2003 World Cup Final, the chairman’s facing mutiny; a freelance reporter’s shit-stirring the fans; and the club prodigy’s psychic link to Jonny Wilkinson is on the fritz. Imagine An Evening With Gary Lineker with oval balls and you’ve got this adaptation of Chris England’s stage hit that explores a scrum of antagonistic relationships as England’s victory plays out.

While the laughs are shandy-strength, there is an engaging, old-school feel to this ensemble piece. Lightweight but likable.
