Beyond Bedlam Review

A doctor delving into unethical medical practices in an attempt to cure crazy people slips up.

A befuddled British horror movie from Leon The Pig Farmer director Vadim Jean which benefits from some exotic lighting effects and the glam-factor of Elizabeth Hurley as the scientist whose specialised brain-treatment backfires when it unleashes incarcerated psycho, Keith Allen, into her dreams. On the debit side however there is Craig Fairbrass — the erstwhile London copper — stumbling over his lines, a demented script and the whole caboodle being no more than a low-level rip-off of the Elm Street movies and Silence Of The Lambs. Disappointing.
